Sylvia offers in-person counselling sessions and telepsychology using the secure ‘Jane’ online clinic platform and telephone. Please contact her for more details.

Sylvia holds a Master of Counselling degree and is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. She works with children (ages 6 and up), adolescents, adults, parents, and families to provide support for a wide range of issues, including:

  • Abuse
  • Anxiety 
  • Behavioural concerns 
  • Depression
  • Parenting support
  • PTSD
  • Trauma
Sylvia strives to develop a comfortable and safe therapy environment, and believes that change can only happen when both the therapist and client are fully invested and there is mutual trust development. Sylvia takes an integrated approach to therapy, using attachment theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), expressive arts, family therapy, narrative therapy, parenting tools, and an overall trauma-informed approach.


Fees and Services:

  • Fee for service is $200/hr for individuals, as recommended by the Psychology Association of Alberta
  • Sylvia does not direct bill, but will provide a detailed receipt that insurance companies can use to provide reimbursement 
  • 24hrs notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
