Ursula’s approach is integrative and evidence-based. Life-long research into psychological treatments has strengthened her hope for people to heal from distressing events. She believes that we are a complex weave of mind, heart, and body that gravitates to safety and health. The right therapy can free blockages and bring one back to a strong and healthy balanced life.
She is available for individual counselling for youth and adults as well as couples counselling. An EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapist, she is trained to treat trauma .
Ursula provides treatments around issues related to trauma and distress, including — but not limited to — ADHD, adoption, anxiety, behavioural issues, body-image, career guidance, divorce, grief, infertility, LGBTQ2 allied, life transitions, marital, pre-marital, Métis, Indigenous, parenting, pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum, relationship issues, self-esteem, separation, sexuality, sexualized abuse or assault, spirituality and all faiths, stress, twins and triplets, and women’s issues. She uses solution focused therapies, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based, Jungian, strength-based, feminist, and trauma focused therapies.
